Call of Duty: Black Ops “Wager Match” Gameplay
Treyarch has released a developer walkthrough of the latest multiplayer mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops called “Wager Matches”. In it, everyone in a match antes up in a deathmatch, and only the top three players earn the pot; the rest lose their money.
Within the match, there are four hot game modes:
- One In the Chamber: Everyone has a single pistol with a single bullet and three lives. If you kill someone with the bullet, you get their bullet to fire. If you miss, it’s melee time.
- Sticks and Stones: Everyone gets a crossbow, combat knife and a Tomahawk knife. Killing someone with the Tomahawk knife bankrupts the player.
- Gun Game: You start off with the weakest weapon (a pistol) and each successive kill upgrades your weapon, and to win you have to cycle through all the weapons. Getting knived resets you to the pistol.
- Sharp Shooter: Everyone gets the same random weapon, and after each period, a new random weapon is spawned for everyone.
